Yummy Apple Bread




MMM... Don’t you just love fall? Thinking of all the apple and pumpkin smells, recipes, and the wonderful colors of everything outside. The trees turning colors and leaves falling from the trees? Just so beautiful. Well, I’m making Apple Bread in celebration of it all!

Mix the sugar, flour, baking powder, and brown sugar together.

Mix all the wet ingredients together -  butter, vanilla extract, eggs, and milk.

Pour ½ the batter into a greased bread pan. Put the chunks of apple in the middle and then pour another layer of batter over the apples.

Now you’re ready to put the bread in the oven for 30-35 min. (mine took much longer).  Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center of the bread.

Now you’re all done and you can take the bread out of the bread pan. Slice when cooled.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large apple, peeled and finely chopped
