DIY Sharpie Mug

Do you hate those boring old coffee mugs? If so, read on. I am one that loves unique things and I love to make things my own. So instead of just buying mugs, buy the 98 cent ones from Walmart and a pack of sharpies! When you're buying mugs make sure to look and see if there are any types of cracks or little cuts because they could break when you bake them! Let’s jump right in, but before hand preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit!

What you will need:
  • Sharpies of your choice
  • Any mug, could be new, could be old!
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Paper towels
  • Cookie sheet (to put the mug on when it goes in the oven)
Step 1: Once you have all of your supplies just grab your mug and pic out a design and start to draw it on.  IMG_5330.JPG
Now at this part I like to jazz up the handle! So I will show the pic of what I did on mine!

Step 2: Let’s say you messed up or you didn’t like the design you chose.
Grab a paper towel and dab a little bit of hand sanitizer onto the paper towel. Start wiping away what you didn’t want on the mug. It should come right off with little effort.

Step 3: Once you have officially drawn on the design you want and you are happy with it, go ahead and put it on a cookie sheet and pop it into the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.

Step 4: After it comes out, let it cool completely and now you have yourself a new cute mug and guess what? Its by you!

I hope you will enjoy this project just as much as I did! Happy coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc., drinking!

Xoxo,
Kassidy
