Is your house feeling a little bare? I have a project for you to spice things up a bit. Its that time of year again and the rustic look is back, using pallet boards or old barn boards is a fantastic way to be creative with your home decor. Everyone could use a little rustic table to decorate for the fall season. I know in my house we have several different homemade pieces to make things a little more fun and personal. So let's take a look!

                    Supplies you will need...

  • (6) 1x2x10 pallet board
  • (3) 1x4x8 pallet board
  • Tape measure
  • Pencil
  • Pen
  • Table saw
  • Nail gun (or hammer and nails)
  • Sand paper

First start by cutting you leg boards down to size, four legs 1x2x10 all 36in. in length. Then cutting three 1x4x8 boards 32 in. in length.

After finished cutting those five boards then use any extra scrap pieces to stabilize the back of the three, 32 in boards for the top of the table. In this case I found an old pallet of wood and tore a few pieces off, then cut two pieces about 20 in. Place on each end and use the nail gun to attach. (about two nails on the top and bottom of each of the two 20 in. boards)

To finish the final step you need to cut (4) 22 in. Boards from the last two 1x2x10, and (4) 28 in. boards. Place two of the 22 in. boards at each side of where they connect to the top of the table and the other two about ¾ of the way down for decoration as well as better structure. Then continue to do the same with the four 28 in. boards on the rest of the sides.

Now for the final touches, once everything is attached with nails and secured correctly now time to get creative! You can add your own unique touches with different things like paint, varnish, or you could just sand and keep the rustic look. Now it's your turn to have fun decorate with cute halloween decor or with some candles. I hope when you make this project you have just as much fun as I did. Enjoy!
