Pizza Platter

Fall is at its peak, so that means avid football fans. I’m not one of these personally, but tailgating sounds more my style. In the great outdoors with family and friends, all celebrating one entertaining cause. The only thing better is food. Luckily, I have a recipe to share that will make you the envy of all the other tailgaters.

To get started you’ll need:

8 Thomas’ 100% Plain Mini Bagels
1 (8-ounce) jar pizza sauce
4 slices Mozzarella cheese, cut into fourths
32 pepperonis (optional)
2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons garlic
1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese, grated
4 tablespoons butter, softened

First off, you’ll want to split apart the bagels and place the bottoms in a baking pan. (Preheat the oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit).

Spread however much pizza sauce you want, and place two slices of your Mozzarella, along with four pepperonis. I chose not to use pepperoni because I prefer cheese pizza.

Sprinkle with shredded cheese and oregano, then place the tops back on and set them aside.

Next, you’ll want to make the sauce to lather over the top. Mix together garlic, parmesan and melted butter in a small bowl. Brush the mixture on the top, cover the sliders and place them in the oven until golden brown and the cheese is nice and melty. Have fun and enjoy!

Yum! That's what I call the perfect tailgating snack.

Packer's Painted Pumpkin

My three favorite things in Fall are hunting, football, and Halloween. I was thinking about what I could do to decorate for the colorful season. So I decided to combine football and Halloween to make the perfect outdoor decoration. Today I will be showing you how to paint a pumpkin to display your favorite football team.

To start off you are going to need spray paint, paper for a template, toothpicks,  and a pumpkin. The spray paint should be the colors of your team’s logo, in my case white, green, and yellow.

Next paint your base coat and the background color of your logo.

When the base coat is dry, cut out your template of the logo and stick it to the pumpkin with a few toothpicks and paint that. If needed add a few touch ups to give it a cleaner look.

After that put as any leaves around the jar as you would like but leave some glass not covered so the light will shine through.

If I would do this craft again, I would use mod podge so they would stick better.

When it is dry, you could write on it or decorate it.

I was happy with my look so I choose to use some twine and add a bow.

To add a light glow, I put a tiny candle inside. I would recommend using a led candle for safety reasons.

This is a great craft if you are super busy and need something in a pitch. Most likely you will have all the supplies needed, already in your house. I love how much fall it brought into my room.
